Under 40 Award

Get ready to celebrate the next generation of leaders!

The purpose of the Under 40 Award is to recognize those who stand out in the repair and restoration industry. This award is specifically focused on young professionals under 40 demonstrating a high potential for continued success in leadership roles and exhibiting a strong passion for, and commitment to, the mission of ICRI.

SUBMIT YOUR UNDER 40 AWARD NOMINATION

2026 Eligibility:

  1. Member or Non-Member of ICRI
  2. Individuals who are making an impact on concrete repair and restoration industry as contractor, consultant, architect/engineer, specifier, supplier, educator, etc.
  3. Exhibit characteristics that demonstrate continued success and leadership skills
  4. Under 40 at the time of deadline submission
    • cut off is January 31st of award year
    • Submission of individuals who do not receive the award will automatically be renewed for following year with a request to update submission for additional information until candidate is over the age of 40 on January 31st of the year of submission.
  5. Applications may be submitted / nominated by peers and/or self-nomination.


Application Requirements:

  • Complete all required fields (indicated with an * asterisk) in the application form.
  • Nominated individuals may be required to provide a copy of a valid ID (for age verification)
  • Submission deadline is Friday, January 30, 2026 at 5 PM Central Time.


Please include the following in your submission for the nominee.

Industry Work and Involvement within ICRI:

  • Leadership positions in the committee or chapter
  • Committee work within chapter or national
  • TAC work or special assignments
  • CRB – Articles
  • Project awards
  • Speaking Engagements
  • Attendance to National ICRI and Local Chapter Events


Industry Work and Involvement outside of ICRI:

  • Involvement in professional career serving the concrete repair and restoration industry
  • News articles, white papers, any form of published work
  • Involvement with industry association outside of ICRI
  • Speaking engagements outside of ICRI
  • Career progression
  • Significant professional achievements at work that made a difference for the employer


Award Selection and Recognition

  • Award recipients will be chosen by the ICRI National Awards Committee
  • Every year a total of 10 individuals will be selected to receive the Under 40 Award
    • Applicants not selected to receive the Under 40 Award will be automatically submitted to next year’s selection process with the opportunity to update submission until applicants are over 40 years old on January 31st of the year of submission.
  • Under 40 Award recipients will automatically be submitted into the Emerging Star Award.


Under 40 Award recipients selected will be prominently featured on the ICRI website, an issue of the Concrete Repair Bulletin (CRB), and recognized during the 2026 Spring Convention (March 15-18) in Nashville, Tennessee. All recipients will also receive 1 complimentary CSRT Education program registration.

ICRI Emerging Star Award


The Emerging Star Award is a prestigious award presented to an individual 40 Under 40 winner for exceptional contributions to the concrete and restoration industry since receiving their 40 Under 40 Award.  It is designed to engage, showcase, and honor the young professionals within the industry. For the inaugural Emerging Star Award, recipients of the 2020 40 Under 40 Award were eligible to apply.
