Education Course

Description: Education Course participants are not seeking to become certified as a concrete slab moisture testing technician but have an active interest in learning more about the test methods, what information the tests provide, and how the tests are to be properly performed. Those that attend the 3-4 hour Education Session and successfully pass the Written Examination will receive a Certificate of Achievement from ICRI. 

• November 5: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Education Session (8:00 AM – 8:30 AM Reg) 
• November 5: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM – Study & Question Period 
• November 5: 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Written Exam 

Certification Course

Description: The full Certification Course is for those seeking to become an ICRI Concrete Slab Moisture Testing Technician—Grade 1. Participants attend the 3-4 hour Education Session, take the written exam, participate in the hands-on demonstration and workshop, and take a hands-on field testing performance exam. By passing both the written and performance exams, an ICRI Concrete Slab Moisture Testing Technician—Grade 1 certification will be issued by ICRI, and the individual will receive a certificate and wallet card. Participants will register for the Certification Course which includes the Demonstration and Workshop. Those with and those without previous testing experience will benefit from the Hands-On Workshop. ICRI Concrete Slab Moisture Testing Technician Certification—Grade 1 is valid for a period of five (5) years from the date of completion and passing of all applicable certification requirements. The individual also has the option of being added to the ICRI CSMT database on the ICRI website.

  (1 hour time slots to be selected/confirmed by ICRI on Day 1)

First Recertification—Written Exam

Description: To restore and maintain active certification status, recertification is required on a 5-year basis. First recertification (5 years after original certification) requires passing a Written Examination that covers the five (5) applicable ASTM Standards. If desired, first recertification participants can sit in on the 3-4 hour Education Session at no additional fee. Successful recertification will provide certification for a period of five (5) years from the date of completion and passing of all applicable recertification requirements and a new certificate and wallet card will be issued by ICRI. 

• November 5: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Education Session (optional) 
• November 5: 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Written Exam 

Second Recertification—Certification Course

Description: Second recertification (5+ years after first recertification) requires again completing and passing the Certification Course in its entirety (the Education Session and both the written and performance exams). Successful recertification will provide certification for a period of five (5) years from the date of completion and passing of all applicable recertification requirements and a new certificate and wallet card will be issued by ICRI.

• November 5: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM – Lunch (on your Own)/Study & Question Period
• November 5: 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Written Exam
