Ever wondered what it takes to redesign a world-class aquarium—inside a historic landmark?

Join ICRI Chicago for an exclusive tour of Shedd Aquarium’s Phase 3 construction. Get a firsthand look at how design teams are transforming one of Chicago’s most iconic buildings to meet modern accessibility, exhibit, and sustainability standards —while honoring its historic character. Concrete work related to the formation of two new large exhibits supporting 17 feet of water will be in progress.

Attendees will hear directly from representatives of Klein & Hoffman, and Pepper Construction, who will share insights on the design vision, structural challenges, and innovative solutions shaping this ambitious renovation.

Tickets are $50 and there is a limit of 20 people.

REQUIRED: All participants must provide their own PPE (hard hat, safety vest, protective eyewear, and steel toed construction boots). Participants are touring an active construction site and will not be allowed entry to the tour without the proper PPE. We appreciate your cooperation.

Meet outside the concrete entrance just west of the ticketing entrance before 3:00 PM.
