She holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of South Florida (USA) and a Civil Engineering degree from Universidad del Norte. Her research focuses on the durability of reinforced concrete structures\, corrosion prevention\, steel–concrete systems\, and strategies for structural assessment\, repair\, and service-life extension. She is currently the President of ALCONPAT Colombia and serves as Colombia’s representative to the Ibero-American Network for Climate Change Prevention (PREVECCII)\, promoting research\, innovation\, and international collaboration in infrastructure durability\, resilience\, and sustainability. \n \n\n\n\n\nMr. Juan José Betancourt Tafur Sr.\, CE\nJBC SAS\nJuan José Betancourt Tafur is a Civil Engineer with more than 25 years of experience in concrete durability\, structural rehabilitation\, corrosion mitigation\, and forensic engineering. He serves as Technical Manager of JBC SAS\, where he provides consulting services for the assessment\, repair\, protection\, and service-life extension of reinforced concrete structures. Throughout his career\, he has collaborated with leading international companies in construction chemicals and infrastructure rehabilitation. This webinar explores the science of energy-based safety and introduces two powerful tools—the Energy Wheel and High Energy Control Assessment (HECA)—to help organizations identify high-energy hazards\, evaluate safeguards\, and strengthen SIF prevention efforts.
