ICRI ADMINISTRATIVE
COMMITTEES
ICRI's Administrative
Committees report directly to the ICRI Board of Directors. These committees
lay the groundwork for the organization and work to ensure its continued
growth and success.

Executive
Committee

William "Bud" Earley, Aquafin, Inc.
Chaired by the ICRI president, the Executive Committee is made up of the president, past president, president-elect, vice president, secretary, treasurer and the TAC chair and executive director (who have no voting privileges). This committee can act for the ICRI board of directors in any matters requiring attention between regular board meetings.

Chaired by the ICRI president, this committee serves the association by providing a place for the entire ICRI Board of Directors to communicate in any matters requiring attention between regular board meetings.

AWARDS

David G. Karins, P.E., Karins Engineering Group, Inc.
The Awards Committee administers ICRI's annual Project Awards Program. Activities include maintaining the Project Award Rules and awards submittal process, selecting the pool of judges for each year's judging based on geographic location of the Fall Convention (where the Awards are presented each year), and reviewing the awards program as needed.

Certification

Monica M. Rourke, Dry Works, Inc.
The Certification Committee is tasked with administering ICRI's new Certification program. Beginning with the first program, the Slab Moisture Testing Technician Certification, Grade I, this committee will determine course outlines, participant requirements and application proceedures, selection of qualified instructors, the dates and location of programs, as well as administer the qualification of applicants into each certification program as required by the committee. This committee will also serve to develop future programs.
Slab Moisture Testing Technician Certification, Grade I

Chair: Peter Craig, Concrete Constructives
This subcommittee was formed to specificially monitor and run ICRI's first Certification class, the Slab Moisture Testing Technician Certification, Grade I program. Committee members will assist with participant selection from qualified applicants, determine Tier 1 and Tier 2 selection for each applicant, and assist with class administration.
Surface Repair Inspector

Chairs: Tanya Komas, CSU Chico and Peter Emmons, Structural Preservation Systems, LLC
This subcommittee was formed to specificially develop ICRI's second Certification class, the Surface Repair Inspector. Committee members will assist with participant selection from qualified applicants and assist with class administration.

Harrison, Capital Restoration & Waterproofing, Inc.
The Chapters Committee studies and develops policies and guidelines for the operation of
U.S. and international chapters of the Institute and encourages their formation.
Standing activities include: facilitating the Chapter Awards program, maintaining the ICRI Guide to Chapter Organization and Operation, monitoring chapter activities worldwide, reviewing chapter charters for
approval and setting chapter policies.
The Committee also oversees all international activities of
ICRI, such as participation in international conferences.

Chaired by the TAC Chairman, the Coordinating Committee is made up of the TAC Secretary, all ICRI Administrative Committee Chairs, all ICRI Technical Committee chairs, and members of the Technical Activities Committee. This committee is designed to facilitate harmonization of document development and committee operation process between ICRI committees.

The Education Committee provides educational programs to disseminate technical information on repair, restoration and protection of concrete.

The Fellows Committee administers the ICRI Fellows program. It reviews nominations for Fellows and makes recommendations to the
ICRI board of directors for ICRI Fellows each year.

Finance

The Finance Committee is chaired by ICRI's Treasurer and oversees
ICRI's budget and finances. It gathers all budgets submitted by individual committees and makes recommendations to the ICRI board on specific committee budgets. The committee also works with ICRI staff to develop the yearly budget.

Marketing

Connie Mugno, Mugno Consulting
This
committee oversees ICRI's organizational marketing and
membership recruitment and retention activities. The committee
oversees ICRI
trade show participation, web site updates and any other
activity that involves ICRI trying to reach its membership and
beyond.
The committee also oversees ICRI's Project
Awards Program and broadens the industry through
educational opportunities and the ICRI Scholarship Program.

Meetings
and Conventions Committee

Breetz, Structural Systems Repair Group (SSRG)
The Meetings and Conventions Committee works with ICRI staff on the parameters of ICRI's meeting and conventions. It establishes items such as convention themes and forum topics and is developing convention guidelines, especially with chapter participation in mind.

The immediate past president of ICRI always chairs this committee, and its members are elected by the whole ICRI membership. The Nominating Committee reviews the nominations for the ICRI board and Executive Committee and develops a slate of candidates for ICRI's yearly elections.

Publications

Ralph C. Jones, PE, Structural Engineering Associates
The
Publications Committee oversees all ICRI publications. It
is involved in reviewing articles and content for the Concrete
Repair Bulletin and responsible for developing the themes
for its editorial calendar. The committee is also involved
in overseeing the management of all ICRI publications sold
through the ICRI Publications Catalog. It is currently revising
the CRB Editorial Review Guidelines and Processes.

Activities Committee

The Technical Activities Committee oversees the activities of all of ICRI's Technical Committees and Task Groups. They developed the review process for the ICRI Guidelines, and are responsible for its administration. They are also responsible for recommendations concerning the formation of new Technical Committees and any other ICRI activities where technical content is an
issue.
TAC
approved a draft set of terms and definitions for the concrete
repair and restoration industry. This valuable resource is
available for free download to all in the industry.
