Proofs

A laser proof or blue line must accompany black/white ads. Composite color proof
preferred for color ads.

DIGITAL DATA

Platform

All files are converted to PC format for printing.

File Formats

Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, as well as high-res press-ready PDFs.

Quality of ads submitted in other formats cannot be guaranteed.

Image Resolution

300 dpi saved in TIFF or EPS format. High-res, press-ready PDF files are also acceptable.

Media Accepted

ZIP disk or CD.
An FTP site is available for sending larger files.
Do not use any compression scheme on the graphics (JPEG, LZW).

Instructions

Color images should be saved in CMYK format. Include all placed images on disk.

Do not embed images in the file. Do not trap files. If necessary, this will be done by our printer.

In eps files, all fonts must be converted to outlines, and in tif files, type should be rasterized. If
converting to outlines or rasterizing is not possible, all fonts used must be supplied on disk.

Ads files not conforming to these standards must be submitted ahead of time, as extra time
will be needed to process such nonconforming ads.
